At Shin’s Martial Fitness Center we teach two Olympic Medal Sports; Olympic Tae Kwon Do and Olympic Gymnastics (trampoline & tumbling).  As a sports training facility we train our students like any other athlete is trained using our state of the art training tools and equipment. 

David Eastham our chief instructor in our Performance Training Program has a degree in Kinesiology from California State University Northridge and is active in sports training camps and personal training.  A former All American Football player, he knows what it takes to build champions. 

Core Conditioning, Functional Training and Plyometrics are the key elements of our Performance Training Program.  The following are some of the state of the art training equipment offered at Shin’s.

  • Two Rock Walls that focus on building upper body and grip strength
  • Jump Boxes are used for explosive strength and fast twitch reactions
  • Stability Balls are used for Core Conditioning, balance and stability 
  • Agility Ladders work on foot work, foot placement and speed
  • Boxing/Double End Bag Stations work on hand and eye coordination, timing and targeting
  • Grappling Dummies are used in our Safeguard and Krav Maga classes for ground and pound, takedowns and ground positioning 
  • Rip Cords are used for resistance training in order to build explosive power for kicking (great cross training for soccer players)
  • JC Bands are used for total body training (pushing, pulling and rotational exercises)
  • Dot and Line Drills help with the athletes agility 
  • Medicine Balls are incorporated in training exercises to add weight to movements of the athlete to maximize power output and explosive strength
