Power Tumbling Level 1 (Beginner)
This Gymnastics (tumbling and trampoline) class is designed for the beginner and intermediate student. All classes are taught using the USAG (U.S.A Gymnastics) curriculum. This class includes body strengthening and conditioning while focusing on safely executing all the skills that are performed.
- Trampoline: In each class students learn and practice the basic jumps like straight, tuck, straddle and pike jumps as well as turns, half turns, seat drops, hand and knee drops
- Double Mini: Students learn the spotter practiced on the trampoline. They will also practice the basic jumps like straight, tuck, straddle and the pike as well as full turns and half turns.
- Tumble Track: Students practice the tumbling skills listed above on the 48 foot tumble track while focusing on proper form and technique. They will also work on basic tumbling skills like cartwheels and forward rolls.
- Spring Floor: The skills that are taught are forward rolls (tucked, straddled and piked), candle sticks, jump turns, half turns, backward rolls, cartwheels and handstands.
